High-5ive Challenge

The Association of Teachers for Computing(ATC) is a non-profit organization established in 2010 in Korea by a passionate group of elementary school teachers. It is focused on researching and developing teaching-learning contents as well as training materials related to digital textbooks, application development and software education.

Together with ATC, Nexon Foundation launched the inaugural <High-5ive Challenge> in July, 2020 with a goal to enrich children’s creativity and problem-solving skills. The program is grounded on the principles of Novel Engineering, an interdisciplinary teaching approach first developed by the Center for Engineering, Education and Outreach at Tufts University to enhance children’s storytelling/problem-solving/coding skills by integrating engineering and literacy.

Through <High-Five Challenge>, ATC and Nexon Foundation will co-develop an innovative education curriculum that combines engineering, literature and brick play.
